Head-First Down The Slide
Diary of a Dive Instructor on Koh Tao
What a week it’s been! I’m thrilled that I’m being kept super busy with students lately and I seem to be rolling from one course into another. Long may it last.
I had most of the morning off and knew that I was going to be meeting a Discover Scuba Diving student around 11am with the following advisories:
- Her husband is a keen diver and they’re looking for a sport that they can enjoy together
- She can’t swim and is not confident in water.
It was Instructor Isabelle’s 30th birthday during the week and tonight we celebrated with a sunset party on the brand-new WeTravel snorkelling boat. It’s an amazing, three tier monstrosity with a super-fast, curly slide into the water, 2 climbing walls, a top deck diving platform and loads of water beds attached to the stern.
There were around 40 of us jumping, diving, sliding, climbing and bombing into the water, having the time of our lives. I can’t wait to see some of the photographs we took of the mayhem!
